"In 1983 two type of fish were stocked in Lake Wedowee by the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources' Game and Fish Division the week of March 15.  Biologist Clyde Gilmer arrived with 67,050 channel catfish fingerlings, each measuring from 2-3 inches.  Gilmer was back again on Tuesday morning with a truckload of 100,000 bream from the Eastaboga hatchery."
